Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This policy explains what information BriskClip (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the BriskClip web app, Chrome extension and this website (the “Service”), and how it is used. BriskClip is operated by an individual developer reachable at ma1466155432@gmail.com.
1. Your media stays on your device
Video editing, recording and export run locally in your browser. The videos, images, audio and projects you edit are stored in your browser's local storage and are not uploaded to our servers unless a feature explicitly says so.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: if you sign in (for example with Google), we receive your email address, name and profile identifier.
- Billing information: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status, plan and limited billing details (such as country and the last 4 card digits). We never receive or store full card numbers.
- Usage data: limited technical data such as asset download counts (to enforce daily quotas), IP address, browser type and error logs, used to operate and secure the Service.
3. How we use information
To provide and maintain the Service, manage your plan and entitlements, process payments, prevent abuse, respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Chrome extension permissions
The extension requests permissions (such as tab capture) only to provide recording and editing features you start yourself. Recordings remain on your device.
5. Service providers
We share data only with providers needed to run the Service: Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in), and our hosting provider. Each processes data under its own privacy policy.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions, preferences and quotas. We do not use advertising cookies.
7. Retention
Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and as required by law. You can request deletion at any time.
8. Your rights
You may request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data by emailing ma1466155432@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA) you may have additional rights.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the date above. Material changes will be announced on this website.
